One of the best ways to experience the true beauty of Ireland is by taking to the hills and mountains along the way as part of your adventure tour of Ireland. Your experienced guide will hike with the group, encouraging you all the way and pointing out the spectacular view points and hidden gems along the way. You can take the hike at your own pace. All routes are clearly marked and easily accessible up and down.
No matter what adventure tour of Ireland you choose you get a unique opportunity to enjoy the best views Ireland has to offer. After each climb you will be rewarded with an excellent choice of eateries and watering holes at our next destination!
Mount Brandon, Co Kerry

Mount Brandon, named after Saint Brendan the navigator, is steeped in Irish Mythology and pagan history. It belongs to the top 10 highest mountains in Ireland. You will be treated to 360 degree panoramic views of Dingle Bay and Castlegregory at the summit. This is a moderate but extremely rewarding 4 hour walk and is a favorite with our guests. If you are lucky you will meet the local farmer for a chat and get a few selfies with his fluffy flock!

Croagh Patrick, Co Mayo

Finish your Ultimate Overland tour with a rewarding hike up Croagh Patrick. This mountain is named after the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick. It will, undoubtedly be one of your adventure activity tour highlights with spectacular views of Clew Bay from the summit. This is traditionally a pilgrimage walk and older climbers can still be seen to climb it barefoot. We will let you decide on the footwear! It takes about 2 hours to reach the summit and about an hour and half to get back down again.

The Cliffs of Moher, Co Clare

The Cliffs of Moher are of course another highlight on our off the beaten track tours. We avoid the masses and coaches and trek along the beautiful coastal stretch along the cliffs. The Cliffs are 214 meters at its highest point and stretch for 8 kilometer’s along The Wild Atlantic Way. On a clear day you can see the Aran Islands and if you are lucky you will spot a Puffin or two. The Cliffs of Moher was nominated to become the 8th wonder of the world!

We do not limit your exploring by foot to these three mountains. You will go on scenic walks through our national parks in Killarney and the Burren as well as Galway City and the Aran Islands. Don’t forget your Fitbit!
On our custom tours we love to show off our other favorite looped coastal walks:

Children of Lir Loop, Belmullet, Co Mayo

Erris Head Loop – Co Mayo

Diamond Hill Loop, Connemara
